Angelica Peñaran - Social and community leadership
A passion for social justice and being an active member of her community motivated Angelica to study the Master of Social and Community Leadership.
"I saw this programme as an opportunity to enhance my leadership skills while learning more about the community in Auckland.
“My favourite (and most challenging) course has been Leading Social Innovation. Not only were the two lecturers amazing, the content and design of the course introduced me to fascinating and inspiring concepts around community development and the concept of social innovation.
“This programme has already introduced me to really outstanding people working in the community development and not-for-profit sector, which offers great networking opportunities for me. Ideally I hope to work in the not-for-profit or community development sector in Auckland after graduation. Eventually I would like to open my own social enterprise venture or be a part of a progressive social innovation team.
“Thus far I have enjoyed my journey and am excited to be part of the first cohort of students enrolled in this programme."
