It’s the culture, environment and sense of community that Visihini loves most about living in our beautiful city of Tāmaki Makaurau.
“For me, the most fulfilling experience I've had so far has been working in a hospital setting and being able to see patients and work with a healthcare team. I had no idea how enthusiastic I was about medicine until I was able to use it in a real-world setting.”
“I chose the University of Auckland in large part because I am from Singapore, an ethnically diverse country. As an international student, I wanted to make sure the medical school I chose would be in a comparable area and uphold similar principles. I wanted to be able to widen my horizons while also learning from the perspectives of another culture.”
“The University of Auckland programme was appealing as each year you expand your knowledge about the indigenous people, as well as learning strategies for addressing inequities.”
“I adore the culture, the environment, and the sense of community I am constantly surrounded by in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. I come from a bustling country, so having the chance to experience new facets of life makes me feel appreciative every day that I have this opportunity. Aotearoa, New Zealand also offers a large range of outdoor activities, which keeps me entertained in my free time.”
