2024 Orientation details
Semester Two: 10-12 July
Semester Two orientation is just around the corner. We have an extensive programme planned for you.
If you are new international student at the University, we strongly recommend you register for International Orientation and Postgraduate or Undergraduate Orientation to set you up with the best possible start to your study experience in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Please ensure you register for all the events that apply to you below.
International Orientation
We encourage you to arrive in Auckland in time to attend International Orientation on Wednesday 10 July. This morning of interactive information sessions will give you an overview about what you need to know studying at the University of Auckland, living in Auckland and enjoying your time in New Zealand. We willl cover:
- Visas and insurance
- Support services on campus
- Daily life in Auckland
- Safety and Security
Short-term Study Abroad and Exhange students:
If you are an international student coming to study at the University of Auckland as a short-term Study Abroad or Exchange student, i.e. your programme on your Offer of Admisssion to the University of Auckland says:
- Certificate of Proficiency - Exchange or
- Certificate of Proficiency for Overseas (Study Abroad)

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Orientation
No matter if you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, you should attend the International Orientation event and your respective undergraduate or postgraduate orientation. These events cover different topics related to your particular degree and faculty.
