Undergraduate

Clyde McLean Scholarship in Classics and Ancient History

A $5,000 Scholarship for domestic and international students enrolled in Stage III of a BA or BA conjoint degree majoring in Classical Studies and Ancient History.

Elon Wells Scholarship in European Languages

Two scholarships of up to $9,000 each to support New Zealand citizens and permanent residents to enrol in undergraduate or postgraduate study in a European language.

John Mulgan Memorial Prize

A prize of $400 to the best student of the year in Greek at stage II, III or honours level.

Rae Hammer Memorial Prize in Latin Studies

A Prize of $600 for the student enrolled in Latin at Stage II, III or Honours level who has demonstrated the highest level of commitment to the study of Latin.

The Minerval Trust

The Minerval Trust provides awards each year to students who have completed university courses in Greek and/or Latin and are continuing study of Greek and/or Latin at the University of Auckland in that year. Contact Emeritus Professor Vivienne Gray for more information.

W.K. Lacey Prize in Classical Studies and Ancient History

An annual prize of $250 for the full-time student with the highest grades in Ancient History and Classical Studies at Stage I.
