You can use this information to find out whether you’re eligible to receive a student loan from StudyLink.

For students enrolled in standard academic year programmes

This table allows you to calculate your EFTS (Equivalent Full-time Student) points, if StudyLink requests it from you.

Please note:

  1. Limited Fulltime Status approval from StudyLink may be an option if you cannot study fulltime. You can find out more on the StudyLink website. Limited fulltime forms must be countersigned by an Dean or Dean's Delegate.
  2. Some programmes may start and finish on dates other than the ones listed above, including:
    • Some Medicine courses.
    • Some Education courses.
    • Some masters courses.
  3. If you are enrolled part-time over a full-year programme, you may qualify for tuition fees and course-related costs if you are enrolled for more than 32 weeks continuously in one academic year.
  4. Student loan eligibility for part-time, part-year students: To be eligible for a student loan as a part-time student (to pay for tuition fees only), you must be enrolled in at least 30 points in the same academic year.
