Recounts
Find out how to get an examination recount.
The University does not remark examinations. However, you may request a recount.
A recount of marks involves a careful rechecking of the marks recorded by the examiner.
Recounts ensure that no answer, or portion of an answer, has been overlooked.
From 2011, recounts also include a careful check that all internal (coursework) marks have also been recorded.
You must submit your application:
- On an AS-18 application form.
- At the Student Information Centre.
- With a payment of $55 for each course requested.
- Within seven weeks after the last day of the examination period.
The AS-18 application form is available below and from the Student Information Centre. You cannot submit your application by email.
No information relating to the application will be placed before the examiner.
