Student Equity Team

Attracting and retaining the most talented people from groups which are under-represented in the student population is an important function of the student equity team.

The student equity team works with three main student groups at the university.

• Māori students
• Pacific students
• Students with disabilities

Student equity events reach out to these groups, allowing prospective students to find out more about the university and its programmes, meet role models and have questions answered.
