Expired password

In line with good security practices and with University policy, passwords at the University are expired from time to time.

If this happens to your password then you will see a message like the example below:

What does this mean?

People using services provided by the University of Auckland are required to change their passwords periodically to help protect their own personal information and any other protected information to which they have access.

The message shown above means that your password has now expired, and you will need to select a new password before you can continue signing in to access University services.

Next steps

Please enter your user name and old password, then select a new password and confirm it.

As soon as you click "Change password" your password will be changed.

This is the password you will use to access University web applications, your University email, and to sign into University desktop computer.
