Exit Counselling

Student loans are borrowed money that must be repaid with interest. When you withdraw or your enrolment ends or drops below half-time, you must complete mandatory Exit Counselling.

National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)

You must know what you owe and to whom you owe it. Log in to NSLDS for your student loans details. You will need your PIN. This will be the same one you used for your FAFSA.

Exit Counselling

You are required to complete online Exit Counselling before you withdraw, graduate or drop below half-time, even if you plan to transfer to another university.

Exit Counselling helps you understand your rights and responsibilities as a student borrower and provides you with useful tips and information to manage your loans.

Your loan servicers

Contact your loan servicer to find out when and how you will repay your student loans. When repaying your student loans, it is important to know the choices available to you and their differences.

For more information, see repayment plans

Before you contact your loan servicer to discuss repayment plans, you can use Loan Simulator. Loan simulator gives you an early look at which plans you may be eligible for, as well as estimates for how much you might pay monthly and in total.

Update your and your next of kin’s contact details
