As we can't be with you on campus for Open Day, we've gathered some frequently asked questions and useful links to share with you.
Am I eligible for scholarships and funding?
We have scholarships for a wide range of criteria for students entering their first year of study. Each scholarship has its own set of regulations or requirements, so you need to read them carefully.
Some scholarships are for high academic achievement, a particular programme of study or a specific faculty, while others are to support different personal characteristics including if the student has Māori or Pacific ancestry, is the first in their family to attend university, attended a decile 1-3 secondary school, comes from a refugee background, has a disability or disabilities, or if they are an international or domestic student.
What can I apply for?
We encourage you to apply for any scholarship that you think you might be eligible for, depending on your programme of study and personal characteristics.
You can see details of scholarships available for the first year of study, including faculty specific scholarships at each of the links below.
You can also search our comprehensive scholarships database for an up-to-date list of all the scholarships available to future and current University of Auckland students.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
Once you have decided which scholarship or award you believe you are eligible for, you need to apply via our online application system Community Force.
To access Community Force you will need to have applied for admission to the University of Auckland, or be a currently enrolled student.
On the page for the scholarship or award you are looking at you will see a blue "Apply here" button, which is next to a link to the regulations. The "Apply here" button will only be visible when the scholarship or award is open for application.
In the application form you will complete a variety of sections containing questions specific to the scholarship for which you are applying. You may be able to apply for more than one scholarship in the same form.
See our Apply for a Scholarship page for application tips.
