The David M. Emanuel Research Scholarship in Accounting & Finance
To pay tribute to David’s broad and substantial contribution, the David M. Emanuel Research Scholarship in Accounting & Finance was established.
This is a fitting recognition, given David’s lifetime commitment to research and his supervision of innumerable theses and dissertations.
Many people were inspired by David’s teaching of accounting as integral to investment and society – not simply a set of rules to be learned. Some appreciated David’s calm encouragement and guidance through the research process. Others found a role model in David’s practical engagement with the business community – within his strong academic and ethical framework.
The David M. Emanuel Research Scholarship in Accounting & Finance serves to inspire a future generation of Accounting & Finance researchers by supporting their graduate study.
