Teri has demonstrated excellence in teaching and is a very worthy recipient of this award. For someone at such an early stage in her career she has shown remarkable personal insight into her teaching practice.

She seeks and responds to feedback from students and peers, and as a result her teaching is constantly refreshed and up-to-date.

Teri's commitment to empowering Māori and Pacific students is evidenced by the innovative ways in which she has developed teaching activities to support their learning.

Her use of learning-oriented assessment highlights her awareness of contemporary teaching and learning practices and a willingness to try new teaching innovations. She acknowledges the importance of engaging learning spaces and where possible incorporates this into her tutorials and workshops.

Please join us in congratulating Teri.
