Access to Campus Solutions (CS9) and PeopleSoft Financials changed
Friday 12 June 2026
To help protect sensitive data and University systems, the University has changed how Campus Solutions (CS9) and PeopleSoft Financials can be accessed by staff.
What is changing?
From today, Friday 12 June, staff need to be connected to the University network to access CS9 and PeopleSoft Financials.
- If you are working on-campus on the wired network, you do not need to make any changes.
- If you are working remotely or using the University wifi on-campus, you will need to connect to the University’s virtual private network (VPN) before accessing CS9 or PeopleSoft Financials.
Why is the University making this change?
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the University enabled direct access to various systems from the internet to support remote working and learning.
However, as cybersecurity threats continue to increase across the education sector and globally, that approach has been reviewed. By ensuring that CS9 and PeopleSoft Financials can only be accessed from within the trusted University network, the protection of sensitive data held within those systems is further enhanced.

Information on the University’s VPN service and how to access it is available on the VPN service page.
