History of Fale Pasifika

Find out about the history of the University of Auckland’s Fale Pasifika. This video features interviews with Emeritus Professor Albert Wendt, Associate Professor Damon Salesa and Dr Melani Anae. Filmed by students of The University of Auckland. Music – “Mana Pasifika”, produced by Walter Fraser and Tim Page, specially arranged and conducted by Igelese Ete to original music by Regan McKinnon (The Porch)- performed by Marlena Devoe and Pene Pati (alumni of The University of Auckland) and Drums of the Pacific.

In addition to artists named, work by Fatu Feu’u (carved statue), the Nukututaha Pasifika Trust (weaving), Naibuka Tuitaru (Fijian lali/drum) and Momoe Von Reiche and the Ota’ota Fahina Society (tapa) also feature in the video.
