Help restore Waiheke’s beautiful wetlands

Join Love Our Wetlands in helping maintain and reestablish Waiheke's natural beauty
Love Our Wetlands Waiheke, a Million Metres project run by the Waiheke Resources Trust (WRT), welcomes volunteers to help with a variety of restoration activities around the island.
Volunteer tasks include helping with removing invasive weeds, releasing native trees from weeds and depending on the time of year may get to do some planting.
Generally volunteers travel over on the 9 am ferry (discounted volunteer rate is available) and are finished volunteering with enough time to explore the island afterwards and catch the 3 pm ferry home.
Restoration project helpers are needed on an ongoing basis, and there are a few community planting days coming up on the 23rd of May and the 20th of June.
