Sir Colin’s connection to the University of Auckland was longstanding – as student, senior lecturer in mechanical engineering, and later as Vice-Chancellor.

The University of Auckland lost a supporter and champion with the death of well-known Auckland philanthropist, Dame Rosie Horton, DNZM, QSO, QSM, on 14 May 2023.
