The main orientation event was Party in The Park. This year it saw Albert Park reverberating to the beats of UK Drum n Bass superstars Chase & Status, along with locals Sachi and Baynk. Here’s a shot of Sachi on the day and their breakthrough hit ‘No More.’
One of the regular events on the calendar was the yearly Toga Party, where students danced in white robes then took over the Auckland Town Hall and danced to the latest hits. Did you go along in your first year?
One of the biggest albums of the year came from the movie A Star Is Born. There was even a kiwi connection, with Marlon Williams having a striking, though rather brief moment in the film…
Though of course, the big hit from the movie was ‘Shallow’.
