The Fatu Feu’u Pacific Arts Prize

A Prize to reward excellence in creative practice by Pacific students.

Established in 2023, the Fatu Feu’u Prize is funded by Felicity Barnes and Michael Whitehead, to recognise and honour Fatu Feu’u and his role as a leader in the Pacific arts community.

Valued at $15,000, the main purpose of the Prize is to reward excellence in creative practice for post-graduate Pasifika students in:

  • Creative Writing
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Fine Arts
  • Screen Production
  • Music

The Prize recipient will be chosen by a Selection Committee and their work will be considered with regard to its potential to have a positive impact on the creative capital of Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific region, based on a holistic view of the student’s practice.

This Prize is by nomination, if you would like to be considered please speak to your Subject Lead or Supervisor.
