The Scholarship was established in 2015 and is funded by a bequest from Murray Wren, who was a lifelong professional architect and who qualified in Architecture at the University of Auckland.

The purpose of this Scholarship is to encourage and support students undertaking study in Architecture, especially where this funding would make a significant contribution to their financial needs.
