Donald Lawrie

University of Auckland alumnus, Donald completed postgraduate studies in Social Anthropology and Political Studies prior to working in senior business development roles for international media companies based in Paris and London. On returning to Aotearoa NZ he has worked across both public and private sectors in roles focussed on raising capital and other resources to support both existing and new ventures, developing innovative partnerships and international market growth. His previous experience also includes extensive programme management of cross functional initiatives and business coaching. In addition to a longstanding interest in Law Donald has a strong interest in Pacific historiography and served as a past trustee of the Tautai Pacific Arts Trust. A father of two young adult sons, he is a fluent French speaker and outside of work enjoys tennis, cinema, music, art and surfing (summertime only!) among other interests.
