Guidance for Leaders and Managers

Here you will find guidance to help Leaders and Managers meet their responsibilities and strengthen health, safety and wellbeing across all teams.

Faculty and Service Division Health, Safety and Wellbeing Plan

Deans and Directors are required under the University Health, Safety and Wellbeing policy to produce, resource and disseminate a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Plan. This template and guidance is intended to facilitate that process.

Safety Walks

Safety walks are a simple but powerful way for leaders to visibly demonstrate their commitment to health, safety and wellbeing. They provide an opportunity to engage directly with staff and students, identify risks early, and strengthen our culture of care and accountability. By bringing together compliance responsibilities, proactive risk management and authentic leadership presence, safety walks help build trust and reinforce our shared commitment to a safe and healthy environment across Waipapa Taumata Rau.- University of Auckland
