2025 influenza vaccination for staff and students

Overview

Safeguarding the health of our staff and students is a priority for Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland. We encourage all of you to get the flu vaccination. The cost of this for our students and eligible staff will be paid for by the University.

Eligibility

  • All students currently enrolled
  • All staff with a permanent or fixed-term employment agreement

Availability

All eligible staff and students can obtain their University-funded flu vaccination from the pharmacy on City Campus.

City Campus

Unichem Campus Pharmacy

Eligible staff and students can obtain the flu vaccination with no upfront cost. Just present your Campus Card.

Bookings

Bookings are not needed. You can just walk in.

If you would like to make a booking, you can do so on Book My Vaccine.

In the "Choose a location" section, select "Unichem Campus Pharmacy" or "9 Symonds Street".

University Health & Counselling Service (UHCS)

Students registered with the University Health and Counselling Service can obtain their vaccine from UHCS.

Tai Tokerau Campus

Eligible staff and students can obtain their flu vaccination locally from Kensington Pharmacy with no upfront cost. Just present your Campus Card. No booking is required.

Leigh Marine Laboratory and Goldie Estate, staff only

Unfortunately we are not able to offer University funded flu vaccinations at these locations, therefore eligible staff working at Leigh and Goldie are able to obtain the vaccine off-campus at their  local medical centre or pharmacy, and claim reimbursement using Concur. The standard refund amount is $35.

Students are entitled to a University-funded flu vaccination at City Campus if they are able to travel there.

Grafton, Newmarket, Tai Tonga

Pop-up centres took place in April and early May at these campuses. Students and eligible staff who were unable to take advantage of these are still entitled to a University-funded influenza vaccination if they can travel to City Campus.
