We offer accommodation options for first-year school leavers in our Halls of Residence, as well as flats and apartments suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate students. University residences are also available during the summer holiday period for students, groups and conferences. Our Accommodation Solutions team can also assist students seeking tenancy advice or guidance with finding private accommodation in Auckland.

Auckland University Press (AUP)
AUP produces scholarly and general interest works including poetry, fiction, history, biography, politics and economics. All books are for sale at its premises.

The Bindery binds theses, and preserves and maintains the University Library's print collections.
Bookshop - City Campus
The University Bookshop sells textbooks, stationery, magazines, reference books, a range of fiction and non-fiction, and University memorabilia. It also purchases second-hand texts for resale.
Campus Store - City Campus
Located in the Quad, offering a broad range of University apparel, gifts and graduation merchandise.
Chemist - City Campus
The Campus Pharmacy sells cosmetics, general medicines, toiletries, sports products, stamps, and phone cards. It also processes film and is an agent for NZ Post.

Auckland Uniservices Ltd is the University's commercialisation arm. As well as marketing University expertise and technology, it provides specialist consulting and testing services.

Continuing Education runs courses, seminars and study tours for the public. It also offers a conference and seminar administration service.

The University has a variety of lecture theatres, seminar rooms and foyers/atriums that are available outside of teaching times for University-sponsored events and conferences. The Event Services team can provide end-to-end conference and event management and are the only provider of conference services to the University.

Information Commons - City Campus
These facilities consist of the Kate Edger Information Commons on the City Campus, the Grafton Information Commons on the Grafton Campus, and the Epsom Information Commons at the Sylvia Ashton-Warner Library.
Lectures and seminars
Many lectures and seminars are open to the public, and are free of charge. The Winter lectures, Sir Douglas Robb and Inaugural (new professors') lectures attract wide interest.

Library - City Campus
The University of Auckland Library is the biggest university library in New Zealand, containing over 2.2 million items. The General Library is at 5 Alfred Street on the City Campus. There are smaller libraries at the Epsom, Grafton, and Tāmaki Innovation campuses; at the Leigh Marine Laboratory, and at the Tai Tokerau Campus. Some individual departments also have library facilities.
Maidment Theatre - City Campus
Following a routine review of current buildings, the University was advised by a consultant engineer that the Maidment Theatre requires seismic strengthening. The University has closed the Maidment for the foreseeable future as a precautionary measure and staff have been relocated to other University buildings.

The Music Theatre at the School of Music hosts regular concerts by University students and visiting musicians.

Telephones can be found by the Campus Pharmacy in the Kate Edger Information Commons on the City Campus, and in most major buildings.
The Recreation Centre provides a wide range of facilities and services to students, staff, graduates and local community at the City Campus. Facilities include ample cardio and strength theatres, aerobics and dance studios, designated spin (indoor cycling) studio, sports hall, squash court, bouldering wall, express circuit studio and a stretching/core training room. Services available are Group Fitness Classes, Premium Fitness and Dance programmes, personal trainers and fitness consultations.
