How research centres are organised at the University, plus operation and reporting templates and resources.
Research centres are formally approved and recognised organisational structures that bring together affiliated researchers and stakeholders working towards common research objectives.

Research centre categories
The University has three categories of research centres:
- University research centres (URC)
- Faculty research centres (FRC)
- Department/school research centres
These categories are defined in the Research Centres Policy with reference to four key parameters:
- Scale of contribution to the University’s strategic priorities and initiatives
- Scale of transdisciplinary approach
- National/international recognition of excellence and impact
- Potential to become a sustainable national/international centre of significance
