Research project management systems and tools
- InfoEd – where proposals are submitted (to be replaced with EndPointIQ ~2026)
- Enterprise Insights Portal (EIP) research funding dashboards displaying finances and deliverables.
- Research Budget Tool, Tahua Rangahau, to develop research proposal budgets.
- Research Outputs, Te Waka Huia Rangahau – a research management system for recording research outputs useful for gathering metrics for ADPR (Academic Development and Performance Reviews).
- Research Outputs populates Discovery Profiles, an externally facing platform that displays research staff roles at the University, research, expertise, professional/teaching activities and supervision opportunities.
- Research Management Library (RML) –SharePoint site for learning resources for research management processes, including process and procedural documentation, training materials, and guides.
- Infinity X – The booking and billing tool used to hire out research equipment and services.
- Funding calendar - A list/calendar of upcoming funding opportunities supported by the Research Funding team.

Research Development Accounts (RDA)
These accounts are allocated to individual academic staff and allow certain funds from research grants and consultations to be redistributed for academic purposes, including conference costs, travel, books, subscriptions, office equipment, research, research equipment, academic and student research or scholarships.
Most academic staff can hold RDA accounts, including research fellows, professional teaching fellows and postdoctoral fellows, as well as research centres and platforms.
