Hacky Hour
An online community where researchers seek advice and share their experiences relating to digital research skills.
What is Hacky Hour?
Hacky Hour is a shared space where researchers – staff and postgraduate students – can work on research problems related to code, data, or digital tools.
- Connect with peers to ask questions about digital research tools and technologies, including writing code, using virtual machines and HPC, and exploring AI or machine learning.
- Seek support for managing research data: planning, capturing, transferring, storing, analysing, and sharing.
- Learn about digital research news, events and workshops.
- Access digital research support from staff at the Centre for eResearch (CeR).
How to join the Hacky Hour community
Hacky Hour is an open and inclusive environment – all are welcome to participate online or in person.
Drop in on Tuesdays from 3-4pm via Zoom or in person. For location details, check the Hacky Hour community channel.
At other times, you can ask questions and participate online.
