Research and teaching asset register
This register provides consistent asset information to support efficient, effective, prudent, transparent and informed operations.
On this page:
Research and teaching assets are tangible or intangible resources owned or managed by University faculties and LSRIs that support research activities or the delivery of teaching services to faculty, LSRI and external customers.
They typically include plants, machinery, laboratory, scientific and teaching equipment.
The register
The asset register enables:
- Increased visibility of assets, enabling wider connectivity within the research and teaching community and opportunities for collaboration.
- Improved capacity to record, monitor, and maintain research and teaching asset inventories.
- Improved reporting and analytical capabilities to support operational and financial planning (e.g. CAPEX planning).
Organisation
The asset register is searchable based on faculty/LSRI and department, as well as multiple asset information fields. Key information will be displayed by default for each asset.
Further information can be obtained by selecting an asset and viewing the associated tabs: Identity, operations, critical/risk, finance, sustainability and notes.
