2016 PhD Statute

The 2016 PhD Statute and Guidelines for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is effective 1 January 2016. Candidates still enrolled under the 2003, 2008 or 2011 Statutes may transfer using the PhD Statute Consent Form below.

PhD with creative practice

From 1 January 2011 under the 2011 Statute, a PhD with creative practice component will be permitted for candidates who have:

  • demonstrated advanced training or experience in a relevant creative practice
  • identified, in their provisional year, their intention to present a corpus of creative work for final assessment
  • received approval from the Board of Graduate Studies.
