Māori Health Intensive

This page is for students studying: 

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Year 2
• Bachelor of Pharmacy Year 2
• Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Honours) Year 2

You're required to participate in a Māori Health Intensive. This is a compulsory part of your programme.

• Date: 8 July 2024 - 11 July 2024
• Location: City Campus, Grafton Campus, and Waipapa Marae

The Māori Health Intensive is run by Te Kupenga Hauora Māori along with the leader of your respective programme. 

During the Māori Health Intensive, you will: 

• Participate in both large and small group sessions
• Visit the local marae

Deferring the Māori Health Intensive is considered on a case-by-case basis for students experiencing exceptional circumstances.

If a deferral is granted, you are expected to participate in the Māori Health Intensive the following year.
