This Prize was established by the Auckland University Students’ Association in 1968 to commemorate the late John David Fleming, a brilliant student and co-editor of Craccum, the Auckland University newspaper. John David Fleming died under tragic circumstances in 1966. Subscriptions were received from fellow students, and relatives.
