A Scholarship to support New Zealand Citizens and Permanent Residents who are the first in their family to attend university, and who have been accepted into Part II of an MBChB degree.

The Scholarship was established in 2022 and is funded by Seth and Flavia Rankin. Seth Rankin studied Medicine at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.

The main purpose of the Scholarship is to assist an MBChB student who is the first member of their immediate family to attend university and who, because of financial hardship, may not otherwise be able to undertake a university degree.

Scholarship applications will usually open around six weeks before the closing date. Please read the regulations carefully to be sure you are eligible before you apply.
