The Scholarship was established in 2019 and is funded by Tonkin + Taylor Ltd. The Scholarship will support a Tonkin + Taylor Ltd. intern to undertake a part time Masters of Engineering at the University of Auckland focussing on a coastal engineering topic.

The intention of the Scholarship is to develop the expertise and interest of New Zealand engineering graduates in coastal engineering.
