Subject overview

The foundation of Information Technology is the use of devices to store, retrieve, manipulate and send information, along with the smart-design and security of devices.

You will study advanced courses in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Infosystems. Alongside these will be optional complementary skills courses in Global Management and Innovation, Health Informatics and Science Enterprise to cement your future employment in the exciting and fast-growing information and communication technology (ICT) industry.

Postgraduate study in Information Technology offers two options:

  • The Postgraduate Certificate in Information Technology is a unique course that provides you with a gateway into Information Technology if you come from a non-IT background. It is also a pathway into further study with the Master of Information Technology.
  • The Master of Information Technology explores business enterprise and project-based learning, and you will spend time devoted to an internship where you will work on a real-world project.
