TFC notices

Semester Two 2020

TFC always accepts a small group of students into our programme in Semester Two. This year, many people have faced difficulties in the first half of the year. For this reason, we’ll be accepting more students in Semester Two. We’re also introducing an extended TFC Summer School. This means that if you start in Semester Two 2020, you’ll be able to finish in time to begin your degree with us Semester One 2021.

If you want to begin TFC in Semester Two, you’ll just need to complete the following steps:

1. Apply online. We’ll make you a conditional offer. The conditions are that you complete our diagnostic assessments in English and Maths and attend an interview. We do this so that we can best understand your background and needs. This helps us to guide you in choosing the right TFC Pathway and courses within that Pathway. Apply online.

2. Complete  our diagnostic assessments in English and Maths. There is one more scheduled for Friday 17 July.

3. Attend an interview. After you’ve completed the assessments above, we’ll book you in for an interview. At the interview we will talk about the TFC Pathways, your course choices and your degree study aspirations.

Semester Two 2020 Scholarships

The University of Auckland has new scholarships available for Semester Two 2020 to financially support Tertiary Foundation Certificate, undergraduate, and postgraduate students by providing accommodation.“Mā ngā parirau te manu ka rere” – “it is the wings that allow the bird to fly”. Parirau is Māori for wing, including the element of protecting under ones wing until the danger has passed.
