How to enrol in Young Scholars Programme using Class Search

The easiest way to enrol in your Young Scholars Programme course is to use the 'Class Search' function in Student Services Online (SSO). First, make sure you know which course you're going to enrol in. You can see all the courses available to you in our Young Scholars Programme Course list

How to enrol

  1. Login to the SSO portal
  2. Click 'Enrol.'

  8. Then, where it says 'Course number', please select from the drop-down box 'is exactly.'
  9. There should be a small box next to the 'is exactly' drop-down; please enter the course number in that box. In this example, '101' for COMPSCI 101.
  10. Make sure the 'Course Career' is 'Formal Award.'
  11. Click 'Search.'
  12. Select your lecture/tutorial/lab/workshop times and dates that best fit your timetable by clicking on 'Select.'
  13. Once you have selected your lecture/tutorial/lab/workshop times and dates, please select your programme, then add to your enrolment cart by clicking 'Add to cart.'
  14. Then, click on 'Enrolment cart' on the left-hand side of the page.
  15. Click 'Validate Choices.'
  16. If there are no errors, then you can select your intended payment method.

Note: MATHS 199
The course is offered in two classes: on-campus or online. Both classes will have access to the lecture livestreams and recordings:

  • Students who live in Auckland are required to select the on-campus class, L01C (meaning you will sit the test and exam on-campus).
  • Students who live outside of Auckland should select the online class, L01O (meaning you will sit the test and exam at your school).

For MATHS 199 the class you enrol in just tells us where you will sit the test and exam. On-campus students are welcome to attend our weekly classes in person, via livestream or watch recordings. Also, for those students outside of Auckland, if you ever happen to be in Auckland on a Tuesday evening feel free to come along to the in person session.
