Recent mental health policy reports have emphasised the need for continued mental health workforce development in nursing. Programmes in the School of Nursing focus on entry to specialty practice and clinical leadership in mental health and addiction nursing. Programmes assist mental health and addiction nurses to extend their mental health addiction skills and in seeking endorsement in extended scopes of practice, nurse practitioner roles and nurse prescribing.
