Toitu Waipapa

Toitū Waipapa framework as a diagram

Here is the framework expressed in diagram form. The lower level represents the underpinnings to who we are, our histories and values we carry and we ascend.

It contains the many peaks, taumata that align in support of Taumata Teitei, Vision 2030 and Strategic Plan 2028. As we ascend and reach the top we have Waipapa Taumata Rau and all it represents including the core principle, Kia whakamana i a tātou, travelling with it at all times.

The framework expressed in diagram form is shown as one large equilateral triangle in the foreground, with a smaller triangle emerging from the two ascending sides in the background. The primary triangle is made up of smaller interlocking triangles in three rows. The foundation row consists of Waipapa Herenga Waka, Te Tiriti He Whakaputanga and Waipapa Ki Uta, interlocked with Mātāpono and Tiki, Pono, Aroha. In the middle row, Waipapa Maunga Whakahī interlocks with Waipapa Manawa Whenua. The triangle forming the apex is Waipapa Taumata Rau, underlined with Kia Whakamana i a tatou. The two smaller triangles have Waipapa Tātai Hono at their base, and Waipapa Tangata Rau at their apex, and they sit behind the primary triangle at Waipapa Maunga Whakahī.
