Volunteer at 95bFM

Be a voice for alternative music and independent journalism from Tāmaki Makaurau and beyond at 95bFM, New Zealand's oldest corporate-free broadcaster.

95bFM is New Zealand’s oldest independent radio station, founded in 1969 and located on Auckland University's City Campus. Although they have a handful of paid staff, for the most part 95bFM is run by volunteers.

If you’re interested in journalism, broadcasting, administration, DJing, or just being a massive nerd about music, then they’d love to have you on their team. Volunteering at 95bFM gives you the opportunity for hands-on experience in a working radio environment, and their vollies regularly go on to work at prestigious media organisations both here and abroad.

If that sounds like something you’re interested in, and you value authenticity, creativity, and independence, then head to 95bFM website (below) to sign up. They’ll be in touch to let you know when it’s time for the next volunteer induction evening.
