How do I book my bus? 

If you’re coming from outside of Auckland, we have a fleet of free buses ready to transport you to Open Day. Bus bookings can be made via our bus booking form.  

Simply select the option for free transport, choose your preferred pick-up location and specify whether you need a one-way or return journey. Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details. 

If you’re travelling within Auckland, free AT buses and trains will also be available to you during the day. Simply show your driver or train station staff your free AT ticket before boarding. Make sure you’re signed up to our emails to receive your free AT ticket. 

Where do the return buses depart from? 

Return buses will depart from Princes Street at 4pm. If you have booked a return journey, please make sure you are back at the bus stop by 3.45pm and a volunteer will make sure you get on the right bus. You’ll be dropped off at the same location where you were picked up.  

What if I need to cancel my bus booking? 

If you can no longer attend or need to cancel your bus booking, please let us know as soon as possible by amending your booking via the original booking form. This will help us free up space for other attendees. 

What events/facilities will be open on the day?

On Open Day, you’ll have access to a wide range of events and facilities, including: 

• Faculty tours 
• Workshops and information sessions 
• Student clubs and activities 
• Campus facilities such as libraries, study spaces, and cafés

Do I need to register to attend Open Day? 

Yes, we recommend registering in advance so you can stay up to date with all the important information and resources you need to know before the event. 

Do I need to check in on Open Day? 

Yes, we recommend checking in by scanning the QR code that will be on display throughout the event. By checking in, you’ll get an official access stamp that allows you to make the most of Open Day and pick up free goodies along the way. You’ll also be entered into the prize draw for our check-in competition.  

Can I bring friends or family with me? 

Absolutely! Open Day is for everyone - bring along your parents, whānau, or friends to explore the campus and get a feel for university life. 

Is food available on campus during Open Day?

Yes, our cafés and food outlets will be open, and there will also be pop-up food stalls. Don’t forget to check out the campus’s iconic coffee spots! 

What should I bring to Open Day? 

We recommend bringing comfortable shoes, a water bottle, a pen and notebook, and any questions you’d like to ask staff or students. 

What if it rains on Open Day? 

Open Day will go ahead rain or shine! Most events and activities are indoors, so you’ll still have plenty to do regardless of the weather.

Can I attend Open Day if I haven’t registered?

Yes, you’re welcome to attend even if you haven’t registered, but pre-registration is encouraged for the best experience.
