South Pacific Indigenous Engineering Students

S.P.I.E.S. is a student run non-profit support group for Māori and Pacific Island Engineering students run since 1993. The main objectives of the club are based around providing academic, cultural and social events for its members. While an Engineering degree is hard work, S.P.I.E.S. helps to provide the academic support that students need through mentoring, one on one tutorials and study wānanga while keeping social and sporting activities frequent to add the element of enjoyment to the University life. S.P.I.E.S. is run by an executive who are voted into their positions based on leadership skills and club commitment. S.P.I.E.S. has a strong group spirit with past members who come back to support the club events. The club is a testament to Māori and Pacific success within the Engineering Faculty and also within the University.
