Infonetica Ethics RM
The Infonetica Ethics RM online portal enables researchers to complete ethics applications, attach relevant documents, and have their applications signed.

Important notice:
From 13 April 2026, the new Human Ethics Application Form and Ethical Guidelines will be available and must be used for all new applications. This form replaces the AHREC and UAHPEC forms and has been updated to align with the new Ethical guidelines.
Draft applications started in the current AHREC or UAHPEC forms will remain available and can be submitted until 30 June 2026, after which they will be archived.

If you are applying for human ethics approval, first visit Human ethics. This provides information on which committee to apply to, the required documents and important contact details.
Access
All University staff, PhD and masters students have access by default to Infonetics Ethics RM to develop an ethics application.
For honours students, an academic supervisor must request access to Ethics RM on their behalf.
Te Whatu Ora employees in the Auckland and Northland regions can also be given access to Ethics RM to develop AHREC ethics applications. To find out how, refer to Human ethics external onboarding.
Note: Te Whatu Ora employees who are not University members can submit Human Ethics applications in Ethics RM. Individuals with no affiliation to either Te Whatu Ora or the University of Auckland cannot access the system.
What you can do in Ethics RM
- Create and complete ethics applications
- Upload required documents and sign electronically
- Share your application with supervisors or collaborators
- Submit applications to the relevant ethics committee (AHREC, UAHPEC, AEC, or BSC)
- Amend or close approved applications
