University of Auckland Teaching Excellence Awards

These awards recognise, encourage and reward excellence in teaching which conveys the importance that excellence in teaching has within the University.

The University of Auckland Teaching Excellence Awards are contestable across the University, with the successful nominees receiving a medal recognising their achievement and a prize of $5,000.

Three awardees are usually selected as the University's nominees for the national Tertiary Teaching Excellence Awards.

For advice on preparing a teaching portfolio, see the short courses offered by the Centre for Research and Learning in Higher Education.

As an example of best practice, the portfolios of the University's National Tertiary Teaching Excellence Award winners may be found at National Tertiary Teaching Excellence Awards.
