Why attend the Internship and Graduate Expo?
Wherever you are in your studies, this expo is the perfect chance to explore opportunities and secure an internship or post-study graduate role that could take you to the next step.
Internships: The ticket to your future career
There is no better way to prepare for your future than to actually give it a test drive, and the best way to do that is through an internship. Our Internship and Graduate Expo brings graduate employers and internship providers to campus so you can meet and connect with them directly, to begin making your mark on the world of work.
Graduate roles: Opening doors into the world of work
It can take time and effort to translate your learnings from your degree into a meaningful career. Wherever you are in your studies, this expo is the perfect chance to explore opportunities and secure an internship or post-study graduate role that could take you to the next step.
The world is your oyster
Internships and graduate roles are available all over the world, and an overseas placement, either virtually or in-person, can be a fantastic way to gain valuable workplace experience. Don't let Covid-19 impact your global ambitions.
Now is the time to create your future
Successful internships and first-time jobs are often just the first step to a bright future! The employers and recruiters at the expo will be eager to meet you and hear about your goals. Research the organisations who will be attending and have your questions ready.
Prepare for the expo
This Internship and Graduate Expo is free for all University of Auckland students. There is no need to register in advance, just turn up on the day with your Student ID.
Pre-event workshops
Prepare for the Expo to make the most of your time with employers. If you're unsure about how to network with employers, not confident approaching people, or want to brush up your LinkedIn profile, join us for one of our pre-event workshops taking place in the weeks before the Expo. You can check out what's on and register on MyCDES.
CV checking
Is your CV up to scratch for the Expo? Use our virtual CV checking tool CV360 on MyCDES+ to update your CV. Once your CV achieves a 90% pass rate or higher in CV360, then submit online to get a final check done by one of our Career Development and Employability Consultants.
We'll also have slots available for CV or LinkedIn profile checking at the Expo - first come, first served. Bring a laptop or printed copy (sorry, but we can't check CVs on mobile phone screens).
Spread the word
If you found our Internship and Graduate Expo or other CDES services useful, tell your friends! We're here to support all University of Auckland students and graduates (up to three years after graduation).
