Postgraduate study in Languages and Literature

What you can study in Languages and Literature

Postgraduate programmes in Languages and Literature enable you to continue the study of two languages and literatures at graduate level. Areas of study are: Chinese, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Māori Studies or Spanish.

The emphasis is on further development of language competence, literary study and, where available, linguistic study. Research essays or projects are an important component of postgraduate programmes.

Languages and Literature differs from Comparative Literature in that it requires language study and does not require comparative work between the two languages and literatures.
