Postgraduate study in Popular Music

What can you study in Popular Music at a postgraduate level?

Postgraduate study in popular music sees you develop your own creative process and individual style. There is a strong focus on developing advanced improvisational techniques, strengthening your arrangement and composition techniques.

You continue to learn in both ensemble and individual settings, with a close mentoring relationship with experienced staff in the Popular Music department.

Practice-led research allows you to explore any facets of performance, instrumentation or pedagogy that interests you.

Please note: You can study a suite of popular music courses in a Postgraduate Diploma in Music, this subject then becomes part of the Performance major in a Master of Music.
