Since it was introduced in 2002, the National Certificates of Educational Achievement (NCEA) has become New Zealand’s main qualification system for secondary school students. But for many people - students, parents, whanau and teachers alike - understanding the complexities of NCEA remains a major challenge.

So, what can we do to understand NCEA and, most importantly, to help our children benefit from this qualification system?
