Workstream four of the Disability Action Plan focuses on leadership and infrastructure. The Ihonuku Tōkeke | Pro Vice-Chancellor Equity is responsible for this workstream. Below are the strategic focus areas for this workstream, along with a summary of key deliverables as at June 2026.

Improved data systems and use

Completed:

  • Accessible reporting made available to the DAPRG ahead of each meeting.

In progress:

  • Associate Deans and Directors Equity and Diversity will co-create a dashboard for their equity data with support from OPVCE.

Accessible campuses

In progress:

  • An efficient and effective system for receiving and responding to built environment accessibility complaints is being developed. 

Policy development and review

Completed:

  • Reasonable Accommodations Policy and Procedures developed and implemented.

Ongoing:

  • All policies and procedures due for review are reviewed for accessibility and plain language.

Awaiting others:

  • The Undergraduate Targeted Admissions Scheme Policy and Procedures are awaiting review.

Reporting and monitoring

Ongoing:

  • Meetings with workstream leads, regular reporting, and meetings with the DAPRG.

Upcoming:

  • Determine how to incorporate Kia Ōrite best practices into Cascade as part of the upcoming system migration to a newer version of Cascade.
