The Future of Sustainability virtual conference
Recordings from the recent conference are now available to view on the Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability web portal.
Waipapa Taumata Rau is a member of Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS), an independent not-for-profit that works to engage, empower and exemplify organisations within the tertiary education sector to lead the transition to a sustainable future.
ACTS hosts an annual conference called The Future of Sustainability, currently alternating between in-person and virtual. The 2025 conference event was virtual and held from 5-7 November. Sessions were organised under three streams:
- Transforming Practice: Rethinking institutional systems and embedding sustainability across operations, infrastructure and governance.
- Learning for Change: Highlighting transformative learning experiences, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Building a Just Transition: Centering justice, inclusion and Indigenous knowledge in sustainability practice.
Access the conference recordings
Recorded conference sessions are now available to view through the ACTS member portal. To access the portal, staff and students are required to create a user account using their institutional email address.
