Old Government House venue hire

From small meetings to large catered receptions, a range of rooms can be booked at Old Government House for University purposes or private functions.

Please note:

  1. University requirements take precedence for the use of space at Old Government House.
  2. Due to the age of the building, first floor rooms are not easily accessible for people with a disability, as there is no passenger lift available.

Large bookings

For larger groups, the main ground floor rooms can be combined together.

Terrace seating overlooking the lawn can also provide additional space, extending the number of people that can be accommodated.

Amenities

Audio/visual equipment

Audio visual equipment is available in most rooms and includes standard whiteboards, data projector, screens and overhead projectors.

Other equipment can be arranged on request.

Catering

Catering needs at Old Government House are provided by Montana Catering, one of New Zealand’s most experienced and highly regarded catering companies.

Complete menu options are available for breakfast, morning tea, formal dinner, or reception.

Costs

Prices are available on application.

Bookings requested by non-University groups and individuals will be charged an amount that depends on their requirements.
