Help empower the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs

The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is looking for entrepreneurial or innovative professionals to volunteer to share their advice, knowledge and expertise with our aspiring students.

The University of Auckland’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) offers free extra-curricular programmes to students of all faculties to enable their potential as innovators or entrepreneurs.

CIE is currently looking for volunteers to support their programmes. From mentoring a student start-up to judging a Velocity challenge, there are a range of ways for you to support the next generation of change-makers, including:

  • Velocity Innovation Challenge Judge in May (about 10 hours over 3 weeks)
  • Velocity $100k Challenge in August (about 10 hours over 3 weeks)
  • Velocity $100k Challenge Mentorship from August – September (about 14 or more hours over 7 weeks)
  • Mentors in Residence from April – October (about 1-2 hours/month via Zoom)
  • Summer Lab in January/February (about 2 hours/week over 4 weeks)

Your time will contribute toward building innovation capability and developing entrepreneurial mindsets to tackle the world’s problems, right here in New Zealand.
